Question
Find the difference between angle and its complement if
the angle is four-fifth of its complement.Solution
Let the angle be 'A'.
Complement of 'A' = 90° - A
So, 'A' = (4/5) X (90° - A)
Or, 5A = 360° - 4A
Or, 9A = 360°
Or, 'A' = 40°
Complement of 'A' = 90° - 40° = 50°
Required difference = 50° - 40° = 10°
Hence, option a.
