Question
What is the total number of Non-Technical employees in
all branches combined? The following table shows the percentage distribution of employees working in five different branches (A, B, C, D, E) of a company and the ratio of employees in two departments (Technical and Non-Technical) in each branch. The total number of employees across all branches is 2400.Solution
Branch A: 20% of 2400 = 480 employees. Non-Technical = (2/5) × 480 = 192. Branch B: 25% of 2400 = 600 employees. Non-Technical = (1/5) × 600 = 120. Branch C: 15% of 2400 = 360 employees. Non-Technical = (3/4) × 360 = 270. Branch D: 30% of 2400 = 720 employees. Non-Technical = (4/9) × 720 = 320. Branch E: 10% of 2400 = 240 employees. Non-Technical = (3/5) × 240 = 144. Total Non-Technical employees = 192 + 120 + 270 + 320 + 144 = 1046.
