      clerk’s salary is Rs. 15,000? Statement I: The total salary of 10 officers and 5 clerk is Rs. 4,25,000. Statement II:  A clerk’s salary is 42% of the average salary of 10 officers. Read both the statements and give answer:

      From I,  4,25,000 = salary of 10 officers + (5 × 15000) Hence, average salary of 10 officers can be found out. From II, 15,000= 42/100 × average salary of 10 officers Hence, average salary of 10 officers can be found out. Therefore, either statement I or statement II is sufficient to answer the question.
