ATQ, Stream speed = (downstream – upstream)/2 = 20/2 = 10 km/hr Boat speed in still water = (downstream + upstream)/2 = 60/2 = 30 km/hr Downstream speed = 30 + 10 = 40 km/hr Distance covered downstream = (x + 5) km in 3 hours (x + 5)/3 = 40 x + 5 = 120 x = 120 – 5 = 115 km
