A boatman covers 240 km upstream in 4 hours, and 432 km
downstream in 6 hours. Find the time taken by the boatman to cover 528 km in still water.Solution
Upstream speed = 240/4 = 60 km/h
Downstream speed = 432/6 = 72 km/h
Speed in still water = (60 + 72)/2 = 66 km/h
Required time = 528/66 = 8 hours
