Let the speed of stream be ‘x’ km/h and they meet after‘t’ hours According to question, Distance covered while going upstream + Distance covered while going downstream = Total distance covered. (19 - x)t + (17 + x)t = 432 19t + 17t = 432 36t = 432 t = 12 hours
