    Let the distance be D km. Speed of man in still water (x) = 9 kmph Speed of current (y) = 6 kmph Speed of downstream (x + y) = 9 + 6 = 15 kmph Speed of upstream (x – y) = 9 - 6 = 3 kmph According to the question, => (D/15) + (D/3) = 2 => D = 30/6 = 5 km
