    Speed of the motorboat upstream = 49/(7/4) = 28 km/hr Let the speed of the current be x km/hr ⇒ 35 – x = 28 ⇒ x = 7 km/hr Speed of motor boat downstream = 35 + 7 = 42 km/hr Time taken to cover 49 km at 42 km/hr = 49/42 = 1 hour 10 minutes
