Question
A person sells each package of snacks for Rs. 14 each.
On Monday, he sold 130 packages which was 50 more than that on Tuesday but 30 less than that on Wednesday. If he spends 55% of his income earned by selling snack packages on these 3 days, then find his saving in given 3 daysSolution
Number of packages of snack sold on Monday = 130 Number of packages of snack sold on Tuesday = 130 – 50 = 80 Number of packages of snack sold on Wednesday = 130 + 30 = 160 Therefore, his total income of 3 days = (130 + 80 + 160) × 14 = 370 × 14 = Rs. 5180 Therefore, savings of person in given 3 days = 0.4 × 4160 = Rs. 1664
