If the 40 years old class teacher is also included then average age of the class gets increased by one year. Find x% of 600.Solution
Total age of students = 16(x + 6) years
According to question,
[16(x + 6) + 40] = (16 + 1)(x + 6 + 1)
16x + 96 + 40 = 17x + 119
17x – 16x = 136 – 119
x = 17
So, 17% of 600 = 102
