(1/4a²) - 6]Solution
[3a + (1/2a)] = 5
On squaring both sides,
Or, 9a² + (1/4a²) + 2 × 3a × (1/2a) = 25
Or, 9a² + (1/4a²) + 3 = 25
So, 9a² + (1/4a²) = 22
Required value = 22 - 6 = 16
