    ATQ,

    Let the present ages of 'Aman' and 'Bittu' be 'p' and 'q' years respectively.

    So, p + 3 + q + 3 = 42

    Or, p + q = 36 --------- (I)

    And, p - 8 = q - 8 - 6

    Or, 'p' = q - 6 ---------- (II)

    From equation I and II,

    We get, q - 6 + q = 36

    Or, 2q = 42

    Or, 'q' = 21

    Therefore, required age of 'Bittu' = 21 + 4 = 25 years
