    Twelve years ago, Pawan's age was twice that of Qureshi.

    Thirteen years from now, the ratio of their ages will be 9:7. What is their current average age?

    ATQ;
    Let the present ages of Pawan and Qureshi be ‘2x + 12’ years and ‘x + 12’ years, respectively.
    ATQ,
    {(2x + 25)/(x + 25)} = (9/7)
    Or, 14x + 175 = 9x + 225
    Or, 5x = 50
    So, x = 10
    Therefore, required average = {(2x + 12 + x + 12)/2} = {(3 × 10 + 24)/2}
    (54/2) = 27 years
