(2a + 10) = (3a + 10) × 0.75 Or, 2a + 10 = 2.25a + 7.5 Or, 0.25a = 2.5 So, a = 10 So, present age of 'Arunita' = 2a + 5 = 2 × 10 + 5 = 25 years And present age of 'Bhasker' = 3x + 5 = 3 × 10 + 5 = 35 years So, required sum = 25 + 35 = 60 years
