from now the ratio of ages of P and R will be 5:12. R is one year elder to Q. Find the present age of P.Solution
(P+2) : (R+2) = 5 : 12 P : Q = 2 : 5 => Q = 5P/2 R = Q + 1 => R = 5P/2 + 1 Put equation (ii) in equation (i): (P+2) : (5P/2 + 3) = 5 : 12 => P = 18
