    Solution

    Let the present age of A and B be 2x and 5x respectively. According to question, => 3(2x – 5) = (5x – 5) => 6x – 15 = 5x – 5 => x = 10 Present age of A = 2x = 20 yrs And present age of B = 5x = 50 yrs The sum of their present ages = 20 + 50 = 70 years
