So, present age of 'Anupama' = 4x × 1.25 = '5x' years So, present age of 'Beena' = (50 - 5x) years ATQ: {(50 - 5x - 4)/(4x - 4)} = (4/5) Or, 5 × (46 - 5x) = (4x - 4) × 4 Or, 230 - 25x = 16x - 16 Or, 246 = 41x So, x = 6 So, present age of 'Chinky' = 4x = 4 × 6 = 24 years And, present age of 'Beena' = 50 - 5x = 50 - 5 × 6 = 20 years So, required difference = 24 - 20 = 4 years
