    4 years ago, Let the ratio of ages of A and B = 2x:3x According to the question, => (2x + 8)/(3x + 8) = 4/5 => 10x + 40 = 12x + 32 => x = 4 Present age of A = 2x + 4 = 12 years   Present age of B = 3x + 4 = 16 years
