Q: Answer-The total number of members nominated by the President to the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha is:

As per Articles 801a and 331, the President can nominate 2 members to Lok Sabha from Anglo-Indian community now abolished, and according to Article 80, 12 members to Rajya Sabha, making a total of 14. However, earlier there were provisions for 2 Lok Sabha 12 Rajya Sabha 14. Note The nomination of Anglo-Indian members to Lok Sabha was abolished by the 104th Amendment 2020. So now, the corrected number stands at 12.
