    Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat won the bronze medal in the World Wrestling Championship in Belgrade, Serbia from September 10 to 18, 2022.  Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian women wrestler to win two medals at the World Championship. Also she is the first Indian women wrestler to win a gold medal at both the Commonwealth and Asian games. She won the gold medal in the women’s 53kg freestyle wrestling category at Birmingham 2022.
