Where was the Data User Conference 2025 conducted?

The National Statistics Office (NSO) and Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) collaborated with the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) to host the Data Users Conference 2025 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Dr. Saurabh Garg, Secretary of MoSPI, chaired the conference and emphasized the ministry's vision of "Data for Development." The event facilitated dialogue between data producers and users, focusing on methodologies, findings from the latest Household Consumption Expenditure Survey, changes in the Periodic Labour Force Survey methodology, and key macroeconomic statistics initiatives including GDP and Consumer Price Indices. Over 250 participants attended, including policymakers, academics, researchers, economists, industry representatives, and international organizations.
