    SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Exam Dates

    In addition to Basic Pay, the Executive Trainee will be entitled to IDA, allowances @ 35% of Basic Pay under cafeteria approach, HRA/ Company Leased Accommodation, Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Reimbursement, Leave Encashment, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facility for self & dependents etc. as per extant company rules.

    On successful completion of Training period of 01-year, Executive Trainees will be regularised as Engineer/Officer in the same pay scale with 3% increment. Further, career progression will be guided by the applicable Promotion Policy of SJVN.

    SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Eligibility Criteria

    Aspirants who are applying for the SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 exam should satisfy the eligibility criteria given in the official advertisement. The eligibility is provided based on educational qualifications, age limit, and other conditions.

    Educational Qualifications

    Applicants should be having regular full-time degree hold in their appropriate field of studies from well-reputed Indian colleges or institutions under statutory approval authorities such as AICTE or UGC. Equivalent qualification does not attract them.

    Applicants with a five-year integrated dual degree (B.E./B.Tech + M.E./M.Tech.) in related fields are also eligible to apply.

    Final year students may also apply, but they have to provide their final consolidated mark sheet by July 31, 2025. For SC, ST, and PwBD applicants the minimum are 50% marks in qualifying degree. For others the minimum is 55% marks.

    Marks are taken according to university norms. Rounding off is not permitted. For instance, 54.99% will not be construed as 55%. In case a candidate's results are in CGPA or OGPA, he must provide a certificate issued by the university to determine the equivalent percentage.

    The age limit for all positions is 30 years as of the closing date, May 18, 2025.

    SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Selection Process

    The SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 recruitment process will test candidates at three significant phases: a Computer Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD), and a Personal Interview. The final merit list will be created based on the aggregate performance in all of these phases, and candidates are required to pass each phase independently to be appointed.

    The Computer Based Test (CBT) shall comprise a total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) to be solved within a time limit of two hours. The CBT shall consist of two separate sections. Section I shall comprise 120 questions pertaining to the candidate's relevant discipline or subject, whereas Section II shall comprise 30 questions pertaining to General Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Intelligence Testing. A single right answer will fetch one mark, with no negative marking for a wrong answer or an unattempted question. The CBT will be in the English and Hindi languages to allow wider participation. PwBD candidates shall get 20 minutes extra per hour as compensatory time and, as required, can bring a scribe subject to certification by a government medical authority.

    In order to be eligible for the CBT, candidates belonging to the General and EWS categories are required to score not less than 50% marks (i.e., 75 marks out of 150), whereas candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD categories, where reservation is applicable, should score not less than 40% marks (i.e., 60 marks out of 150). Such candidates will be shortlisted for the subsequent stages in a ratio of up to 1:5 against each post.

    Once the CBT is cleared, the candidates will move on to the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview. The weightage given to each phase of the selection process is predecided. The CBT score will have a weightage of 75%, the Group Discussion will have a weightage of 10%, and the Personal Interview will have a weightage of 15%. The candidates need to excel through all these phases since only those who obtain a total score of 50% for General and EWS categories and 40% for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD categories after all phases will be considered for the final merit list for appointment.

    SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Exam Centres

    The SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Computer Based Test (CBT) will be organized at multiple centers in India to cater to applicants from all parts of the country. Candidates submitting their applications for the test have to select their preferred test centres wisely at the time of submission of the application form. Candidates can opt for any two cities as their Preference 1 and Preference 2 while submitting the application form. But once opted, no change in the test centre preferences shall be accepted in any case.

    The list of prescribed exam centres has prominent cities like New Delhi covering NCR, Chandigarh, and Dehradun. For the candidates from the northeast, there will be an exam centre at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. In Himachal Pradesh where SJVN has its headquarters, several cities are designated as exam centres, viz., Shimla, Mandi, Bilaspur, Solan, Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, and Kullu, subject to availability and logistics.

    SJVN has the right to add or remove any of the test centres as per administrative grounds, load of candidates, or any other unforeseen conditions. In that case, the candidates can be assigned any nearby available centre, irrespective of the initial choice. Candidates are strictly advised to exercise their choices with care and also keep visiting the official SJVN website for any information on allocation of exam centres.

    It is the duty of the candidates to report to the scheduled exam centre on time as per the information specified on their admit cards. No request for shifting of exam city or centre will be accommodated after the last submission of the application form.

    SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 Admit Card

    The admit card for SJVN Executive Trainee 2025 exam shall be released to only those applicants who have been able to successfully complete the online application process before the specified deadlines. The admit card shall be available for download from the official SJVN portal. Admit card will not be mailed to candidates through post or courier.

    Contenders have to download their admit card through the website with their registered email ID and password. Regular monitoring of the official website as well as the registered mail inbox for any information concerning the release of admit card is a must. Contenders should also avoid sending the email communications received from SJVN to their spam or junk mail folders.

    The admit card will include crucial information like the name of the candidate, roll number, date of exam, time of exam, and the full address of the assigned exam centre. Candidates need to carefully check all the details printed on the admit card. If there are any discrepancies, they should contact SJVN immediately for correction.

    It is essential to bring the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the exam centre on the day of the examination. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall without these documents. Candidates are also advised to retain the admit card safe after the Computer Based Test, as it will be needed in the later phases of the selection process, i.e., Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
