Indian Air Force successfully tests ‘Type V Heavy Drop System’ from cargo aircraft The Indian Air Force has successfully tested ‘Type V Heavy Drop System’. The system would be useful with the transportation and dropping of arms, equipment and ammunition weighing upto 20 tonnes with the help of a parachute.  After successful testing, the “Type V Heavy Drop System” was showcased at north tech symposium 2023 at IIT Jammu on September 11.
