SSC CPO Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020 - 2021
There are certain eligibility criteria required by SSC for SSC CPO Exam. If you are willing to fill the application form for SSC CPO Exam 2021, you are advised to first check the eligibility criteria in order to avoid any kind of misunderstanding of the exam. The eligibility criteria include age, educational qualification, physical standards etc.
Educational Criteria
In order to apply for SSC CPO Exam 2020, you are required to check the educational criteria first as it demands a bachelor's degree. Other educational criteria-related information is provided below in the table. You can take a look at the table before filling the application form.
For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only: It is mandatory for male candidates to possess a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) at the time of test. A candidate who does not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) will be eligible for other posts in CAPF.

Age Criteria
SSC invites young and eligible aspirants to become part of SSC CPO who further will be posted into various posts like Sub-inspector in Delhi Police/ Sub Inspector in CISF etc. As SSC welcomes young candidates in the Central police organization, a candidate needs to be in between 20 to 25 years.

Age Relaxation
Other than the General/ Unreserved Candidates, the government has given certain relaxation in age to reserved category candidates like SC/ST/OBC/EX serviceman, etc. Complete details related to age relaxation is provided in the table below.

For the post of SI in Delhi Police
There is age relaxation given to widows/ divorcees women candidates who are not remarried. For complete details related to this please see below:

Age relaxation for departmental candidates in Delhi police only
For departmental candidates government has given certain age relaxation for the employees but it is for Delhi police only.

Physical Standard test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Those students who qualify SSC CPO Exam Paper 1 and Paper 2 will have to go for Physical standard test and physical endurance test. PST/PET will be qualifying in nature which means there is no marks allotted for both of these tests.
Physical standard Test for all posts
A physical standard test is prescribed by SSC for the SSC CPO. This standard will be applicable to all the posts. The physical standard for male and female is different and there is certain relaxation provided to candidates belongs to Garhwali or Kumaoni community. All the details are given in tabular form below:

Physical Endurance Test for all posts
Other than physical standard test(PST), candidates have to go through PET in which they have to undergo some tests like race, long jump and high jump. Three chances will be given to the candidates. Please note that Ex-serviceman is not required to go through the physical endurance test(PET).
For Male candidates
Male candidates have to undergo physical endurance test, details of which is given below. As mentioned above ex-serviceman is not required to undergo the PET.

Medical standard (For all posts)
All the qualified candidates have to undergo the medical examination which will be examined by any Medical officer of CAPF or any Medical officer belongs to Grade 1 of central/state government hospital.
EyeSight: There are certain vision requirements prescribed by SSC.
- For near vision: minimum is N6(better eye) and maximum is N9(Worst eye)
- For distant vision: Minimum is 6/6 best and maximum are 6/9 worst.
