SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2023

The SBI Clerk 2023 notification has been released for 5008 vacancies. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern 2023
The SBI Clerk exam pattern 2023 for Prelims is an objective test consisting of three sections - English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. All the sections in the SBI Clerk 2023 Prelims exam pattern are allotted separate marks and separate sectional timings. You cannot shift to another section until the timing of that particular section is exhausted. The SBI Clerk Prelims exam is of 1 hour and consists of 100 questions. SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2023
If you clear the SBI Clerk 2023 Prelims exam you need to appear for SBI Clerk Mains. There will not be much gap between the SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains exam, therefore you need to be in preparation mode since the start. The SBI Clerk exam pattern 2023 for Mains is again an online test consisting of four sections - General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. Each section in the SBI Clerk exam 2023 is allotted different marks and different sectional timings. Further details on the SBI Clerk 2023 exam pattern for Mains is given below.

Note: There is no sectional cut-off in the SBI Clerk exam 2023.
Language Proficiency Test
Once you clear SBI Clerk Mains you will be called for a language proficiency test. Specified opted local language test will be conducted before joining. If it is found that you are not proficient in the specified opted local language then you will be disqualified.
Note: If you have a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate of having studied the specified opted local language then you will not be subjected to any language test.
Final Selection
The final selection will be done on the basis of the scores obtained by candidates in the SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2023. The marks obtained in the SBI Clerk 2023 Prelims exam will not be taken into account for the selection Also, your eligibility documents and other details will be verified before you are provided with the joining letter. Moreover, you will also need to qualify in the test of specified opted local language (Language Proficiency Test) where applicable.
Reserved List
Along with the final selections, the SBI will release a State/category-wise Waiting (Reserved) List as well. This list will be valid for one year from the result declaration date. The appointment of the candidates on the waitlist will be done if the appointed candidates resign in the middle of their term or do not join at all.
Marking Scheme
There is a provision for negative marking in the SBI Clerk 2023 exam. For every wrong answer you marked in the SBI Clerk Prelims, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. This means, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer in the SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 exam. For the SBI Clerk Mains exam, marks allotted to each section vary, so if you marked any particular question incorrectly, 1/4th mark allotted to that question will be deducted. Exam Language
In the SBI Clerk exam 2023 all the questions in the objective tests will be bilingual, i.e. they will be available both in Hindi and English except the test of English Language in both the phases. You can attempt the question in any language preferred. You can also switch any particular question anytime in order to watch it in the language you prefer.
