    RBI Office Attendant 2026 Educational Criteria

    While applying for the RBI Office Attendant Exam, candidates must first ensure that they meet the prescribed educational eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification. The Reserve Bank of India has clearly defined the qualification requirements, and applications that do not conform to these criteria are liable to be rejected.

    As per the latest notification, a candidate must have passed the 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from a recognized Board of the concerned State or Union Territory that falls under the regional jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which the candidate is applying. 

    In addition, the candidate must be an undergraduate as on January 01, 2026. Candidates who have completed graduation or possess any higher qualification are not eligible to apply for the RBI Office Attendant post.

    For candidates applying under the Ex-servicemen category, passing the 10th Standard is mandatory along with a minimum of 15 years of defence service, provided they have not obtained a graduate degree outside the Armed Forces.

    Further, candidates must be proficient in the language of the State or Union Territory under the recruiting office. This includes the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the specified regional language.

    • A candidate should have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from the concerned State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which he/she is applying. Such qualification should be from a recognized board of that State/UT.
    • Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualification are not eligible to apply.
    • A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category should have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) and rendered at least 15 years of defence service, provided they have not graduated outside the Armed Forces.
    • Candidates applying to a recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/UT falling under that office.

    You need to fulfill the age criteria mentioned by the RBI in order to fill in the application form for RBI Office Attendant.     There is a provision of age relaxation for some of the categories which gives an advantage to reserved category candidates.     RBI Office Attendant 2026 Nationality Criteria

    To be eligible for the RBI Office Attendant Exam, a candidate must satisfy the nationality criteria prescribed in the official notification. An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. Candidates who are Tibetan refugees and came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible.
     
    In addition, persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or certain East African countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to these categories must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of appointment.

    RBI Office Attendant 2026 Pre Exam Training Centres

    Pre-examination training may be conducted by Reserve Bank of India for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as SC/ST/PwBD/OBC and EWS. Interested candidates will have to specify to avail this facility while filling the RBI Office Attendant 2026 On-Line Application.
