Indian Coast Guard recruitment notification for the post of Navik (General Duty and Domestic branch) and Yantrik is an excellent opportunity for those who aspire to join the defence services. Indian Coast Guard Educational Criteria

As the Indian Coast Guard notification is out for three types of posts, ensure that you fulfil all the eligibility criteria with respect to education before applying online.   • “10th& 12th class passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE)”AND“Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)”.

Indian Coast Guard Age Criteria

Apart from the educational criteria, you need to conform to the Indian Coast Guard age criteria also. The minimum age to apply is 18 years and the maximum is 22 years as on the date mentioned in the official notification. Please note that the date from which the Indian Coast Guard age criteria will be calculated differently for each post. Further details are given below.

Indian Coast Guard Age Relaxation

If you belong to any reserved category, you will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit The relaxation will vary depending on the category of reservation you belong to. Also if you belong to OBC and come under the creamy layer, you will not be eligible for Indian Coast Guard age relaxation. Further, you need to produce the caste-related documents if seeking age relaxation as per requirement. All the relevant details are given in the table provided below.
