IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Exam Pattern 2020

 The IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Recruitment registration process will commence once it is out in the official website. All the interested candidates should plan their preparation and make the most of the time available at hand. The exam being for Officer post cannot be taken too lightly and thus you should be aware of the complete exam pattern. IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam will be conducted in two phases: Prelims & Mains followed by Interview. Both these exams will consist of different sections and will also consist of sectional cut-offs. 

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Phase 1 (Prelims) Exam Pattern

Phase 1 of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam will be an online objective examination which will consist of only two tests unlike other banking exams. There will be two sections : Reasoning & Numerical Ability. Both the tests will be bilingual. To make sure that you qualify the sectional and overall cut-off of Phase 1, you should be able to score decent marks in both the sections, for which you will have to practice well.

  • There will also be a penalty for all the incorrect answers attempted by the candidates.
  • For every incorrect response, 1/4th of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Phase 2 (Mains) Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam for Phase 2 (Mains) will also be an online objective examination which will consist of questions from various subjects: Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English or Hindi Language and Quantitative Aptitude. All the questions will be bilingual, except the test of language. The test of English language will consist of questions in English and those who will opt for the test of Hindi language will get questions in Hindi language only. Details in the table below

  • For every incorrect attempt, there will be a penalty of 1/4th marks allotted to that question.
  • There will not be any penalty for a question left unattempted.
  • Candidates are meant to qualify the minimum cut-off scores in each test in order to ensure their further selection.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Job profile

A candidate who gets selected as a Scale I Officer will have to go through a probation period of 2 years. During this probation period the Scale I Officer will receive a fixed amount of pay which will not be at par with the usual salary of a Scale I Officer. Once the training period is over, the candidate will be designated as Assistant Manager. Some of the basic tasks and duties of an RRB Scale I Officer will be:

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Exam Language

The online examination for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I post will be conducted in two phases: Prelims & Mains followed by Interview. Both the phases will consist of questions from various subjects that are available in both English and Hindi

  • Candidates have the option of choosing their default language of the exam before they start a test.

  • Signature will  not be accepted in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Left thumb impression should be scanned properly and should be clear.
  • The handwritten declaration should be in candidate’s own handwriting and in English.
