RBI has just released its much awaited official notification for RBI Grade B Officer 2019. There were many speculations doing rounds all over if the notification will be released this year or not. Finally the long wait got over for all the aspirants.RBI has announced vacancies for the posts of RBI Grade B (DR)- General, *DEPR & **DSIM categories.

This is a golden opportunity for all those preparing for the banking sector. RBI being the central bank of India surely holds the topmost position among all other financial organisations. This makes it quite popular and a major choice of all the aspirants preparing for competitive exams. RBI conducts an online examination for RBI Grade B Officer which is conducted in three main phases: Phase 1, Phase 2 & Phase 3. The candidates who are interested and aiming for RBI Grade B 2019 should start applying online immediately as the online application/registration process will end on 11th October 2019. RBI Grade B Phase 1 is scheduled to be held on 9th November 2019 & RBI Grade B Phase 2 is going to be held on 1st December 2019. To be able to qualify the exam, a candidate should have the complete information about it.

RBI Grade B 2019 (General) Exam Pattern: The Changes

RBI Grade B 2019 being officially announced has given a new hope to all those who were eagerly waiting for it since a long time. As the official notification has been released, it is high time that all the candidates kick-start the exam preparation and not wait for the last moment. There has been much hue and cry about the RBI Grade B exam pattern and that is only adding up to the confusion of all the candidates. The exam pattern for RBI Grade B 2019 is same as before except that there is only a small change:

The first step towards becoming an RBI Grade B Officer will be appearing for RBI Grade B Phase 1 Examination. RBI Grade B (DR-General) Phase 1 or Prelims Exam will be an online objective test which will consist of four sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & General Awareness. All the sections will contain a total of 200 marks and based on last year’s RBI Grade B Exam, the number of questions & marks will vary for each section. There will be a total time of 2 hours which will be divided into separate sectional timings. A candidate cannot switch to another section unless the sectional timing for that particular section gets exhausted. 

RBI Grade B Phase 1 (Prelims) Exam Pattern 

RBI Grade B Phase 2 (Mains) (DR-General) Exam Pattern

To the relief of all the aspirants there is no change in the RBI Grade B Phase 2 (Mains) Exam. All the candidates who will be able to qualify Phase 1 will be eligible for RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam. Phase 2 Exam will be conducted in various shifts. RBI Grade B Phase 2 will consist of three papers. Paper I & Paper III of RBI Grade B Phase 2 will be objective type and Paper II will be an English descriptive paper where the candidates will have to enter the answers with the help of keyboard.

RBI Grade B 2019: Number of Attempts

Apart from the much hyped RBI Grade B Exam pattern changes, one other thing that creates a lot of confusion among the aspirants is the number of attempts permitted for a candidate in RBI Grade B Exam. As the official notification has already been released, it is extremely important to let this confusion go away. The limit over the number of attempts is actually applicable only to the candidates who belong to the General category.
