    In each question below are given some statements followed by two conclusions numbered I and II are given. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.

    Solution

    All oranges are apples (A) + No apple is a grape (E) ⇒ No orange is a grape (E). Hence conclusion I follows. All oranges are apples (A) ⇒ Conversion ⇒ Some apples are not oranges (O). Hence conclusion II does not follow.
