                                 Some penguins are kingfisher. Conclusions: I. Some swan are not kingfisher.                        II. Some kingfisher are penguins. In each question below are given two statements followed by two conclusions numbered I and II. You have to take the two given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the two given statements, disregarding commonly known facts.

      Solution

      No swan is a penguin (E) + Some penguins are kingfisher (I) ⇒ Some kingfisher are not swan (O*) . Hence, conclusion I will not follow. Some penguins are kingfisher (I) ⇒ conversion ⇒ Some kingfisher are penguins(I). Hence, conclusion II will follow.
