Question
Statements:Â Some applications are software.
All hardware are software. All software are systems Conclusions: I. No hardware is an application II. No system is a hardware III. Some applications are hardware. In each of the questions below some statements are given followed by some Conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true even, if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.Solution
Some applications are software (I) + [All hardware are software (A) → Conversion] → Some software are hardware (I) →  No conclusion. Hence neither conclusion I nor II follows but it will make a complementary pair i.e. I-E. Hence either conclusion I or III follows. All hardware are software (A) + All software are systems (A) → All hardware are systems (A). Hence conclusion II does not follow.
