In making decisions about important questions it is desirable to be able to distinguish between ‘strong’ arguments and ‘weak’ arguments so far as they relate to the questions. ‘Strong’ arguments are those which are both important and directly affect and relate to the question. ‘Weak’ arguments are those which are of minor importance and may also not be directly related to the question or may be related to a trivial aspect of the question. Each question below is followed by two arguments numbered I and II. You have to decide which of the arguments is a strong argument.

More than 50 accredited social health activists have requested Municipality to offer them ID cards.

Statement I: The social health activists work on a voluntary and ad hoc basis and hence providing them with ID cards is not a feasible option.

Statement II: When the social health activists visit houses for immunization they are rudely questioned by the residents and having an ID card will provide them credibility.
