    Solution

From statement I alone, we get, S sits third to the left of R. T sits immediate right of R. V sits second to the left of U. V         S         U         W        R         T Data given in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the given question. From statement II alone, we get two persons live between W and V. V sits at one of the extreme ends of the row. T sits third to the right of U. S sits immediate left of U. Case 1: When V sits at extreme left end V         S         U         W        R         T Case 2: When sits at extreme right end. I S         U         W        R         T          V         In both the cases R sits immediate right of W. Data given in statement II alone is sufficient to answer the given question. Therefore, data given in either statement I or statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
