    Let the present age of ‘Q’ be ‘x’ years
    Therefore, present age of ‘P’ = 1.5x years
    ATQ;
    (1.5x – 6) = 2 × (x – 6)
    Or, 1.5x – 6 = 2x – 12
    Or, 6 = 0.5x
    Or, x = 12
    Therefore, present age of ‘Q’ = 12 years
