X at 8 AM towards point Y. Another train B starts at 9 AM from point X. If they meet at 10 AM and speed of A is 20 km/hr, while that of B is 30 km/hr. Find distance between X and Y.Solution
Speed of train A = 20 kmph
Speed of train B = 30 kmph
Time taken by train A to meet train B at 10 AM = 2 hrs
Time taken by train B to meet train A at 10 AM = 1 hrs
Distance travelled by train A = 2 × 20 = 40 km
Distance travelled by train B = 1 × 30 = 30 km
Therefore, total distance between X and Y = 40 + 30 = 70 km
