Question
A train 325 metre long takes 45 sec to cross a man
running at a speed of 6 km/hr in the direction opposite to that of train. What is the speed of the train?Solution
Let the speed of the train be x Relative speed = (x + 6) km/hr ⇒ (x + 6) = (325 × 18)/(45 × 5) ⇒ (x + 6) = (5850)/(225) ⇒ x + 6 = 26 ⇒ x = 26 – 6 = 20 km/hr
