Question
Ram and Ali were assigned to do a work for an amount of
Rs. 24,000. Ram alone can do it in 15 days while Ali can do it in 12 days. With the help of Shiven, they finish the work in 6 days. Find the share of Shiven ?Solution
`1/15+1/12+1/(shiven)=1/6`  `=>1/(shiven)=1/6-(1/15+1/12)`  `=>1/(shiven)=1/6-9/60=1/60` Shiven will take 60 days to complete the work alone. Ratio of work done by Ram : Ali : Shiven = `1/15:1/12:+1/60`    = 5 : 4 : 1 Shiven’s share = `1/10` x 24000 = 2,400.
