Question
If Pawan takes twice the time that Qureshi takes or three
times the time that Raju takes to finish a task, and all three working together can complete it in two days, how much time will Qureshi need to complete the task alone?Solution
ATQ;
Let time taken by Pawan alone to finish the work = 6x
Time taken by Qureshi alone to finish the work = 3x
Time taken by Raju alone to finish the work = 2x
Let total work = LCM of 6x, 3x, and 2x = 6x
Part of work done by Pawan, Qureshi, and Raju alone in 1 day is 1 unit, 2 units, and 3 units respectively.
Total time taken to finish the task by all the 3 persons together = 2
6x/(1 + 2 + 3) = 2
x = 2
Time taken by Q alone to finish the work = 3x = 6 days
