    Both Raman and Rajat worked together to finish this task, earning a combined wage of Rs. 5,850. Out of this, Rajat received Rs. 2,250 as his share of the wage. Calculate how long it would take for Rajat to complete the same task on his own.

    Share of Raman = 5850 - 2250 = Rs. 3,600 We know that wages are distributed in the ratio of efficiency when work is done together So, ratio of efficiency of Raman and Rajat = 3600:2250 = 8:5 Therefore, ratio of time of time taken by Raman and Rajat to complete the work alone = 5:8 Therefore, time taken by Rajat to finish the work = 30 X (8/5) = 48 days
