    Let the total work = 114 units Efficiency of horse who can complete the work in 38 hours = 114/38 = 3 units/hour Efficiency of horse who can complete the work in 57 hours = 114/57 = 2 units/hour Therefore, time taken by both horses to complete the work together = 114/(3 + 2) = 22.8 hours Therefore, time taken by the elephant to complete the work = 22.8 hours
