Question
Riya travels 45.5 km in 2 hours and 30 minutes. How much
distance will she cover in 4 hours if she increases her speed by 3 km/h?Solution
ATQ,
30 minutes = (30/60) = 0.5 hours
So, usual speed of Riya = (45.5 / 2.5) = 18.2 km/h
Increased speed of Riya = 18.2 + 3 = 21.2 km/h
Therefore, distance covered by her in 4 hours = 21.2 Γ 4 = 84.8 km
