Question
A truck can usually travel 240 metres in 12 seconds. How
much distance (in km) can the truck cover in 2 hours if it travels at 110% of its normal speed?Solution
ATQ,
Normal speed of the truck = 240/12 = 20 m/s
110% of normal speed of the truck = 20 × 1.1 = 22 m/s = 22 × 3.6 = 79.2 km/h
So, distance travelled in 2 hours = 79.2 × 2 = 158.4 km
