Let the initial speed of the bike be ‘x’ km/hr Therefore, speed of the car = 1.25x km/hr According to the question, 7 × 1.25x – (5x + 2 × 1.4x) = 38 => 8.75x – 7.8x = 38 => x = 38/0.95 = 40 km/hr
