Question
Train P starts from Lucknow to Dehradun at 11:55 am with
an average speed of 55 m/s. Train Q starts from Dehradun to Lucknow at 1:35 pm with an average speed of 45 m/s. At what time the two trains will meet each other if the distance between Lucknow and Dehradun is 750 Km.Solution
Speed of train P = 55 × 18/5 = 198 Km/h Speed of train Q = 45 × 18/5 = 162 Km/h Distance travelled by train P till 1:35 pm = 198 × 5/3 = 330 Km Relative speed of trains = 198 + 162 = 360 Km/h Remaining distance to be travelled after 1:35 pm = 750 – 330 = 420 Km Time taken to cover 420 Km = 420/360 = 7/6 = 1 hours 10 minutes So the two trains will meet each other at 1:35 + 1:10 = 2:45 pm
Statements: J < K = L ≥ M ≥ P; F ≥ K < G
Conclusion I. J < G II.F ≥ P
...Statement: T > U = V < W > X; Y ≤ H < S; X > Z > S
Conclusions:
I. W > Y
II. Y < Z
III. U < Z
What should come in the place of question mark, in the given expressions to make ‘D > F’ always true?
P > D ≥ I _?_ J = F > M
Statements: Z > X = A ≥ V > W > B; B = Y ≥ U = E > T
Conclusions:
I. Z > U
II. Y > Z
