The number of red and blue marbles in a box were in the

ratio 6:11. There were 100 more blue marbles than red marbles. Later, 15 red and 25 blue marbles were taken out. What is the ratio of remaining blue marbles to red marbles?
A 25:49 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 13:7 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 48:55 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 12:19 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      ATQ,

Let the original number of red and blue marbles be '6x' and '11x', respectively

      According to the question,

      11x - 6x = 100

      So, x = 100 ÷ 5 = 20

So, original number of red and blue marbles = 120 and 220, respectively

      Required ratio = (220 - 25):(120 - 15) = 195:105 = 13:7
