A warehouse had bags of rice and wheat in the ratio 12:17.
The number of wheat bags was 125 more than rice bags. Later, 30 rice bags and 35 wheat bags were dispatched. What is the ratio of wheat bags left to rice bags left?Solution

Let the original number of rice and wheat bags be '12x' and '17x', respectively
According to the question,
17x - 12x = 125
So, x = 125 ÷ 5 = 25
So, original number of rice and wheat bags = 300 and 425, respectively
Required ratio = (425 - 35):(300 - 30) = 390:270 = 13:9
