expenditure of A and B is 2:3. The savings of B is Rs.3500. If the expenditure of A gets double then the saving of A becomes Rs.5000. Find the income of B.Solution
Let the income of A and B be 7x and 5x respectively. And expenditure of A and B be 2y and 3y respectively. According to question, => 5x – 3y = 3500 ----- (i) And => 7x – 4y = 5000 ----- (ii) Solving (i) and (ii) we get, => x = 1000 and y = 500 Therefore the income of B = 5x = Rs.5000
