playground for a fixed fee per day. If they used the ground for 4 days, 5 days and 7 days, respectively and the total rent paid was Rs. 6400, then find the amount paid by ‘C’ to the ground owner.Solution
Let the ground owner charged Rs. ‘x’ per day. Therefore, amount paid by ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ is Rs. 4x, Rs. 5x and Rs. 7x, respectively So, 4x + 5x + 7x = 6400 Or, 16x = 6400 So, x = 400 Rent paid by ‘C’ = 7x = 7 × 400 = Rs. 2800
