expenditures are in the ratio of 1:4. If the 40% more than the income of A is equal to the expenditure of B, then the ratio of savings of A to B is-.Solution
Let income of A and B are 4d and 9d respectively.
Expenditure of B = 140% of 4d = 5.6d
Expenditure of A = 5.6d * 1/4 = 1.4d
Ratio of savings of A to B = (4d - 1.4d)/(9d - 5.6d) = 2.6 : 3.4 = 13:17
